The location was marvellous and ideal, in the heart of downtown and overlooking courtyard. What's more, it was not far from good restaurants, shops, a movie theater, and of course the Ashland Shakespeare Festival venues and the theater, restaurants, and shops.

Charming stay with a few bumps
A quaint stay, but it's not free of challenges. The breakfast offered was good, especially the freshly baked pastries. If you have any mobility issues, reach out for room recommendations beforehand. The atmosphere had a unique charm that I appreciated despite the noise from neighboring rooms.

I loved the charming vintage decor throughout the Columbia, giving it a cute feel. The cozy common area was perfect. The staff were attentive and helpful. The lack of air conditioning in my room was disappointing, especially during the hot weather. It made the room muggy and uncomfortable, which I didn't expect. Climbing up 30 steps to reach my room was a bit challenging after a long day. I wish there were more accessibility options. Despite these issues, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was quite pleasant, and the location couldn't be better.

Perfect for those who seek simplicity
We stayed one night and the room was a cozy sanctuary. The bed was comfy and the common area offered coffee early in the morning, a nice touch-waking up to that aroma felt so right.
Pricey, but worth it.
